Date Posted: 7/12/2018 Location: Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts Date of Availability: Immediately Date Closing:Until Filled Reports to:Chief Academic Officer Department: Administration Position Summary: The Curriculum & Instruction Director shall be responsible for the coordination of planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and instruction programs, including Creative Instruction (as described in the organization’s Fine Arts Processes Initiative) and will assist the campus leadership with the management of the schools. The Curriculum & Instruction Director will support the development and implementation of a vertically and horizontally articulated Creative Instruction curriculum that supports diverse students in core academics, artistic achievement, areas of enrichment, and social-emotional learning. S/he will have a commitment to the educational philosophy of our schools that includes a constructivist approach, project- based learning, Creative Instruction, and the overall restorative culture of our organization. The Curriculum & Instruction Director is a visionary instructional leader who will contribute to the creation of engaging, joyful, academically rigorous schools built on our fundamentals of academic and artistic excellence, community, and diversity. S/he will have a sophisticated understanding of and experience with a constructivist approach to curriculum and instruction, the development of creative curriculum, supporting teacher professional development, creating stakeholder partnerships, and building and/or working in diverse communities.Find Out More / Apply
