Position Summary: The Chief Academic Officer (CAO) shall be the Superintendent for the public charter school of Texas Center for Arts + Academics: Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts (FWAFA) and Texas School of the Arts (TeSA). The CAO is responsible for the effective operation of the schools; for the general administration of all instructional, business, or other operations of the school; and for advising and making recommendations to the President & CEO with respect to such activities. The CAO shall perform all the duties and accept all of the responsibilities usually required of a Superintendent as prescribed by the State of Texas and the policies, rules, and regulations established by the Texas Agency of Education.

Position Summary: The Elementary Theater Teacher is responsible for providing the highest quality experience and training by facilitating positive individual, family, and community growth through guidance and role modeling. In addition to teaching theater classes and planning recitals and performances for grades K-6, the Teacher also collaborates with academic teachers to develop arts based instruction. Working with other faculty and administration, the Teacher will support the school's mission through recital/performance selection and curriculum -development in alignment with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and the National Core Arts Standards.

In addition to training in techniques and skills in the visual arts classes, the teacher also collaborates with academic faculty in creative instruction. This includes teacher-led classroom instruction providing students with the opportunity to think critically about their own artwork, art work of peers, and historically significant works of art. Working with other faculty and administration, the teacher will support the school's mission through planning exhibitions and curriculum development in alignment with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and the National Core Arts Standards.
