Instilling a love of language arts

There is no substitute for books in the life of a child.

- May Ellen Chase

TeSA excels in teaching language arts and reading proficiency to all students who enter its doors.

tesa_0602-HiRes.jpgTeSA's curriculum is based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) guidelines. The Texas Treasures curriculum is used to give students a strong base for reading skills, while the supplementary Core Knowledge Curriculum challenges students to advance their understanding of literature and how it applies to everyday life. Teachers often collaborate between subjects, interconnecting language arts with social studies and science curricula.
